Delivering Advanced Engineering Solutions
Our approach to solve and address system safety and risk is based on proven methodologies, techniques and global standards. The real benefit is how our engineers will utilize these techniques to save you time and resources. AESC's approach to risk and safety analysis is educational as well as performing the analysis. The knowledge gained during the project will be fully shared and transferred to your staff.

Each project will receive our special attention right from the start. Each project is treated uniquely, even though the analysis, technique or methodology used might be the same for many of the analysis. When it comes to assessing your requirements and how AESC can help you with your project, our approach will be customized to suite your analysis needs.

We often find ways to divide up the early assessment into smaller or less complex segments in order to understand the system and its design intent. Focusing on the overall critical design and system, we implement the right solution and deliver the most optimized analysis.
The following are a few proven steps in our approach, whether the analysis is required for an existing system that has been fielded or a new system that is being designed and must go through the approval process:

Project/System Requirements and their importance

Understanding the project requirements is as important as performing the required analysis. It is vital to understand the importance of each requirement with respect to the system performance and operational safety and risk. The importance factors will be categorized and ranked. Our engineers will review and consult your specialized staff before we start your project.

Problems and Existing Solutions
Based on initial review, we will consider any existing problems or potential hazards. The existing solutions will also be evaluated. Often times a preliminary Root Cause Analysis or FMEA will be conducted to determine the cause and effect of potential hazards and their impact on system safety and risk.

Proposed analysis

Our proposed analysis will be based on the system requirements and understanding the potential hazards. If required, government mandates will also be considered.

Analysis Phase

AESC will use this opportunity to learn more about the system as well as educate your staff about the selected analysis. During this phase, our engineers will conduct the analysis and will consult with the organization for feedback or additional information that may be required.

Post Analysis

A comprehensive report will be presented on the analyzed system. Results will then be reviewed to assess whether the system meets the requirements. Through collaborative assessment of results recommendations are formulated for further refinement of analysis or risk mitigations.

Completion

After making the final reviews and revisions, reports are finalized, and delivered.

Benefits and Future

The benefit of performing safety and risk assessment is to be able to identify the hazardous conditions and to address them before there is a loss of life or investment, security breach in the system, or total environmental catastrophe. No matter what the conditions are, the knowledge gained during the analysis has been a valuable insight for our clients. It has helped organizations take the appropriate steps to improve their existing system design as well as their future product developments.
